Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 8/7/2026
1. Our commitment
LocalTap is committed to making getlocaltap.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
2. Measures we've taken
- A visible "skip to main content" link for keyboard users.
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) throughout the site.
- Visible focus outlines on every interactive element, including in high-contrast/forced-colors mode.
- Respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" setting, which disables decorative animation.
- Native, keyboard-accessible
<details>/<summary>markup for FAQ sections rather than custom JavaScript widgets. - Descriptive alt text on meaningful images and appropriate labeling on form fields.
3. Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time certification. We periodically review our templates against WCAG 2.2 AA and correct issues as we find them. This statement does not claim full compliance — it describes a good-faith, continuing effort.
4. Third-party content
Payment checkout is hosted by Stripe on Stripe's own domain. While we choose Stripe in part for its accessibility practices, LocalTap does not control the accessibility of that third-party checkout experience directly.
5. Reporting an issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on getlocaltap.com or on a LocalTap hub page, please tell us at hello@getlocaltap.com. Include the page URL and a description of the issue and the assistive technology you were using, if applicable, so we can investigate and fix it.
